FST: The Voice of My Father [Draco&Lucius]

My main reason for wanting to make this fanmix was my fascination with what the relationship between Draco and his father must be like. Surely there are various external influences, like that of his mother and his peers and his rival--but at the core of it, this is a father-son relationship, and that entails certain struggles. There is the boyhood adoration of a father who can do no wrong in his child's eyes, followed all too soon by a new perspective instilled by the ever expanding world around him. Meanwhile, Lucius will do whatever he must to protect his family, even if it inadvertently harms them along the way; he believes that his ideals will out in the end. Once Lucius lands himself in Azkaban, I imagine that it finally hits home for Draco just how fallible his father truly is, and he subsequently experiences an unprecedented fury towards the man whom he has loved and idolized all his life, for all he has put himself and his mother through. And still, after that anger has been vented, the fact remains that Draco does love his father and is devoted to him, to an extent that amazes even himself.
Hopefully, this fanmix manages to express all of this where my words fall short.

Preaching symphonies while the chorus yelled: "Unity!"

You spit-shined my corroded halo, then packaged it away

Take this weight off my shoulders and move it to my brain

How do you feel? That is the question
But I forget you don't expect an easy answer
When something like a soul becomes initialized
And folded up like paper dolls and little notes
You can't expect a bit of hope
So while you're outside looking in, describing what you see
Remember what you're staring at is me
How much is real? So much to question
An epidemic of the mannequins, contaminating everything
We thought came from the heart but never did right from the start
Just listen to the noises, null and void instead of voices
Before you tell yourself it's just a different scene
Remember it's just different from what you've seen

But I can't find them anywhere

I'm amazed, when push comes to shove
What I'd give to you - everything
I'm amazed, the hallways I wouldn't mind
Crawling through, and I'd do it for days and days
