So I've been trying to be diligent about posting on this journal. I thought I was doing a good job, and then while I was talking to my mom, my brother Daniel happened to be there. He mentioned how some people were commenting that I wasn't posting very often and that something must be distracting me (yeah, it's called being in Ecuador). I immediately and unjustly accused my mother (sorry mom) of being that voice of disapproval, but then Daniel revealed that it was he, himself, who thought that. First of all, don't talk about yourself vaguely in third person, it's just stupid. Second of all I have been a saint about blogging. Have you read any other student study abroad blogs? They usually consist of two posts, one that says "well, I've arrived," and and another: "well, I'm leaving now, a lot of stuff happened." I have yet to go more than a week without posting anything and I've been here for more than two months. Sure some of the things I've posted have been not-too-insightful (there is always the
k-pop), but I try to be entertaining, and occasionally I think I even manage to be slightly better than boring (once in a while, when I'm goofy from the altitude, I actually think I'm witty). I guess what I'm trying to say is, "shut up Daniel, I do post, and to prove it, I'm gonna post right now." The only problem is that I'm tired and I don't want to write anymore, so instead, here's a comic by
Kate Beaton who does a bunch of historical and literary comics.
Okay, other things to blog about, before I forget:
Atacames
US Embassy safety talk
Capincho
Now stop complaining.
