For what its worth, I wanted to like "Were the World Mine"... It was an enticing idea but just fell flat for me, with bad acting and worse musical numbers.
I feel the same about Were the world mine screened here at Newfest last year. Why are gay flicks not very good these days? They seem lame excuses for soft porn. It's like depth is too much to ask or something.
Were the World Mine was good, I liked the premise. I have heard good things about Moon and will check it out. Coffee Date was decent, I like anything with Wilson Cruz. I have yet to see Up, but hopefully will.
Really? I thought that was a disappointment. Great trailer which turned out to be a cockteaser for me. It's very L.A. No? I thought the gay guy's pain could have been much better fleshed out because it's something worth talking about. I thought the big guy's body was worth the film going in, but I got over it (his body) about an hour after I saw the movie :-) His character's confusion which could have made the film a meaningful breakthrough if seriously fleshed out is skimped over. It's L.A. deep :-)

If you haven't seen it yet you may want to check out Mulligans

I stumbles across it and ended up enjoying it.
