Spooky Mushroom

Dec 10, 2009 13:17

minnesotatoast hosted a lovely Gingerbread party this last weekend. geometrician and I made a home together. Then, because we're dorks and we both play Kingdom of Loathing too much, we made a Spooky Mushroom to guard our campground. Geo even made a Bitchin' Car, but it wasn't made of meat, it was made of sweeter things.

Please forgive a random unrelated comment from a random unrelated stranger?

Having seen a rather wonderful picture of you and your dog submitted to a photography blog and as a result read some of your entries, would you please allow me to friend you? We seem to share some interests, including an attachment to gormless lumps of dogs, Torchwood and geekery, and you write in English, using grammar, punctuation and words that are spelled correctly :)

(Of course, having made that observation there will now prove to be several typos, gramatical failures and other orthinological[1] cock-ups in this comment...)

I'm not selling anything, stalking, prostheletising...simply enjoying a window on a world half a planet from my own. In case you're interested I am British, English, Male, divorced, dating two fabulous women (I like to walk the line!) a landscape gardener and author, sci-fi and Terry Pratchett fan. And World Traveler by proxy :)

Welcome! Thank you very much for the kind words. I haven't been nearly as diligent as I would hope at this whole blogging thing (posting or reading); but what little I have smithed, I hope may provide you with a pleasant diversion. I am but a beginner compared to some.

I like your narrative style, it flows easily and weaves nice pictures. Would I have perhaps ever read something you've published?

You may be interested to know that my brother (envoy) lives in the London area, he married a lovely British woman.

It is unlikely you would have read any of my work, unless you are unusually drawn towards the life of an English truck driver. Part of my latest may be found here:

It isn't much, but at the same time it is a sample, a buffet, if you will, of 20 years of my life. People seem to like it, and buy hard copies of it. Which pleases me. Were I to work out how to make money out of it, this would please me even more, as I want to retire, wealthy and pampered, at an early age :)
