Cilantro, as it is know in Americas, or the the leaf form of Coriander as it known else where in the world, is something I love, but is something that geometrician hates. So sometimes, on nights when he's not in town, I sneak off and indulge in this forbidden herb.

There are different strengths of flavor, some does sort of taste pale, other jump out, it's about the soil and where it's grown.

You can use it to make a pesto rather than basil. To keep it from getting to many stems you need to carefully stip the leaves, but it works.

I was in Costa Rica and they put it in EVERYTHING, in the beans, the rice, the pizza sauce in place of oregano or basil.

Make a sauce of mushrooms and onions and at the end add a handful of leaves. Put that over steak.

OR...add a tomato base to that and turn it into something over pasta.

It's also one of those herbs that can be tossed in to an omlet with cheese and other veggies.

Don't overlook using it in curry either. Think more yellow curry with grilled shrimp. You have to tweek the spices a little but it works.

I like how in the article it says that maybe sometime in the future I might enjoy Cilantro. We used to have Cilantro at work (TGI Fridays) on some items and I hated those items. At some point I went to Southern New Jersey Mexican Restaurant and they had Cilantro on the tacos. As soon as I bit into it I knew it had Cilantro and couldn't eat another bite.

Although I have seen relationships end for less, I think we can overcome this difference. He has a few other things going for him that more than make up for this issue.
