Hello there! :D Ohhh cooking! Sounds fun~ By the way, what's gumbo? I think I've heard the word, but I don't actually know how it's made xD
We're still in rainy season over here. I like rainy season, but it gets cold at night :/ July will probably be the opposite though, unless that La Niña thing keeps messing with our weather -which I think it might, for a few months (way better than El Niño if you ask me :S)
It is a thick stew sort of thing made with chicken, roux (flour and butter), chicken broth, okra, potatoes, carrots and spices. Tons and tons of spices ;) Include hot sauce and Worcestershire :D I have a recipe around here somewhere...or I'll just fake it. Haven't made it in years, but I'm pretty sure I remember how.
Mm, rainy season....we usually get one from about...late October to early June, but our weather has been really weird lately! Last week it was 100 degrees F! Which is crazy hot!
So far I've done prep for cooking but no actual finished dishes. LOL Look, I'll update my post! :D
The weather has been REALLY messed up! We just had our Annual Rose Festival...first time in over six years it hasn't rained on the Grand Floral Parade! LOL
I'm trying to get ready for the heat. Last week I didn't want to do anything! So, I need to be ready. :)
At least Christmas smells nice. Summer rain makes me think of Camping, personally...because it always rains when I go camping, LOL!
I make several meals and freeze them to take to work. It saves so much time. Your to do list is quite long - I always plan to put away the clean clothes and yet they are still in the hamper waiting to be put away lol
I should learn to make gumbo. Once you've figured out your recipe let me know! I'd love to try making it! I should do some toning... works left me shattered for a few weeks. Shattered, but still good.
Even if you don't finish your list, I'm sure you will clear a large chunk of it at the rate you're going!
Summer is definitely on it's way. I had to blast the AC for about an hour the other day when I had guests over. But rainy season has arrived, so I just went and bought a whole new set of wet weather gear. A proper gortex set. I'm so happy.
