she stands up and leans down (but not so far down -- now only the porch-step makes her taller) to crown the daisy chain atop ada's hair. "well, i was -- but then i got changed. it's something that happens, sometimes, i expect. but i was afraid i'd have to play all by myself, and nothing's nearly as much fun, all by myself -- not even being changed --"

"we could play at words, like guildenstern and hamlet do, but it seems too nice a day for that, doesn't it? or we could go to a field and go flying again ... or, i've a lot of pretty dresses -- we could pick some out for each other, and then go to a field and find flowers to match. or we could do all that but fly, too, if we feel like it."
