Here's one that's been on my mind for quite a while... what about a "canon version" take-over event? Like, the canon personalities are shoved into the AU bodies or something...

I've had a few people make that suggestion. The only thing I worry about is the fact that not everyone has a major shift in personality due to AU version. =/ Nick is a pretty good example of this.

Randomly random idea: What if the train somehow sucked away the characters' powers (those who have powers) and gives them to other characters (preferably those who do not possess any magic abilities or the like) for a specific amount of time? =D

Power cut? The train screeches to a stop in a tunnel somewhere. No light, no heating, no way out, and no way to tell which way they're going since the train's not moving anymore, the passengers are going to have to make the best of it until the train magically rights itself a few days later...

...and beware of beasties lurking in the dark or something, if there's a danger/fear factor needed XD

Not sure whether this goes under Suggestions or Concerns/Crit but I'll just stick it here because I do have one event suggestion. I think if you're worried about activity, you could introduce some way of communication other than in person. Some people are just anti-social, or shy, and are more liable to talk to someone over, say, a phone, or text, than in person. Just something handily-accessible. Also, that way, if someone needs to address people about something, they can do that easily, instead of having an open action post, and hope people happen upon them
