People can be passionate in their feelings surrounding LiveJournal. That passion sometimes manifests in comments that're negative in nature. This community has over 1300 permanent account holders, and has managed to exist for some time now without the need for warnings or bans

I can't really speak to the corporate culture of LJ or their parent company of the week.

In the instance of this community, I think the majority of people wish it to be more positive.

There's a difference between whining and personal attacks.

If you dislike the tone of the community, you're welcome to make posts that're more positive or productive and that contribute to building a better community.

Likewise, if you have ideas for community improvements, I'm all ears.
