Poem I HAD 2 Write 4 Class

“Go home and write a poem,
A poem with three main points we talked about in class.
Let it be an imitation of Auden or Hughes”
My professor said.

Why is this so hard I thought?
How can I tie my three points together?
“The American Dream”, Loneliness, and random images.
What is the “American Dream” to me?
It is goals, success, happiness and the glamour

I don't believe poetry is bad... at least not in any objective sense. It's always about what it does for you.
