When I saw this pop up this morning, I dropped everything to settle and read for a few minutes.

As usual, your Sheriff is canon to me- all love with a slight edge of grumpy dad (Just a little and I probably would have wanted to smack Stiles upside the head too)

I think what resonates in me is how you've managed to cut through the layers of Derek and Isaac, or maybe how the Sheriff has cut through the layers. He has the gift (as does Stiles) to see who they really are despite their outward appearances. Maybe your Derek and Isaac aren't exactly canon - but they could be and that is what makes an AU verse great in my opinion. (I suppose this is AU although close enough to canon to feel plausible
