Sucks that you can't afford this class. :( Are you working part-time or full-time now? And is there any way you could get a loan of some sort?

Working part time. ;_; Loans with my credit would probably be at like, an exorbitant rate or something LOL my own work won't even give me a credit card. SIGH. I guess I will just have to save save save!

:( I feel your pain bb. I know it's not long term, but how about asking for the money for the class as a Christmas present or something? :x Can you do anything like that?

Can you get financial aid? Is there a payment plan they can set up for you? Any way you can audit the class? Maybe if you speak to the professor he might know of some assistance you could get. I work at a community college and I know plenty of our professors who are willing to help out interested students, or at least point them in the right direction of getting help. It never hurts to ask, the worst that can happen is that they wont be able to help you, but at least you will have known you tried. (BTW, I can't remember how far Plano is from Dallas/Fort Worth, but I know San Antonio has tons of programs that help people take classes so I would think Dallas/Fort Worth would have them too...)

I hope I've given you some ideas that might help. I wish I could help more...

SIGH unfortunately it's an adult night-class program that's purely elective so they don't offer any sort of scholarship or anything. BALLS. (And I'm not in Plano right now, am living in LA)

Well damn, and here I was hoping to help. Have you tried talking to the instructor to see if he will give any free advice? (Most prof's I know are passionate about their subject matter and/or teaching so they like to talk about it even if they're not getting paid)

(Sorry, checked your profile to make sure you were talking about US education system since I honestly don't know much about how other countries systems work)

Damn, wish I could help more...
