Does anyone else find Tangled to be a distressingly realistic portrayal of the effects an emotionally abusive/manipulative parent can have on a kid? Of course Rapunzel is emotionally all over the place (one second overflowing with joy over the littlest things, and the next self-blaming and defensive and scared of her own shadow); she couldn't be

Yes. It is.

But cartoon princesses rarely get therapy. Just think of the issues Cinderella and Snow White must have! :)
