Hahahahahah. This is so very them. Harry's all LOOK I LOVE YOU THIS MUCH and Bob's all 'Sometimes I wish I could still go to my skull and hide from this maniac.' Only of course he really doesn't wish, 'cuz Harry's his maniac.

This one detail gets me every time I read this (which I've done several times now): It’s strange, after so many years of not touching things just how much he needs to have to leave the apartment. That acknowledgment that being corporeal again is friggin' weird for Bob is a nice touch, because not a lot of TVverse DF fics do it. Bob gets his body back, he spends a couple paragraphs being awed by touching the world, and then he and Harry have sex ZOMGEVERYTHINGSPERFECTNOW. But no. Because it's been centuries, and he had very different things to worry about back then, and, yup...weird. Plus, the image of him reaching the end of his tether and falling on his ass is hilarious.

I love playing with all the ways being solid could screw with Bob. It's not just actually being able to go places, but it's also maybe remembering he should STOP touching things because maybe it looks super-creepy or inappropriate and he's just sort of zoned out on "oooh, I can touch it."
