I could squee all night, but let's have a moment of silence for that teeny tiny fic archive I remember that had a bunch of Cooper/Harry. Of course, given that we're talking Twin Peaks, maybe it never existed in the first place.

It did exist, it was called Bookhouse Boys but sadly it is no more (at least my bookmark leads nowhere). There are a couple of Twin Peaks comms on LJ.

I remember people being more into Coop/Albert when I shipped the hell out of Coop/Harry though. Sadly. I did Coop/Albert, but not as much.

I am also excited as I finally got Fire Walk With Me on DVD recently.

Dear god I loved Twin Peaks. I always liked that the Secret Diary Of Laura Palmer book made Laura being bi/into girls canon, even before Fire Walk With Me.

Technically Coop even got me into slash - okay so it was pairing him with Mulder (another pairing I'm very fond of with him) but still, the technical first slash I ever read was Mulder/Coop, and I have very fond memories. I count Mulder/Krycek as my other first because I literally read a story with them an hour after (if that long) the Mulder/Coop and I was hooked.

Coop/Albert being the major pairing is very strange. I postulated recently that Mission Impossible 4 fic would be mostly Ethan/Brandt because of the good looking factor, and I find that true a lot in fandom, where the two better looking people will end up paired whether they have chemistry or not. Now, mind, Albert and Coop definitely have chemistry, but Harry has the aw shucks nice guy thing. I suppose Albert's the snarky exception to the fandom rule (as snarky guys generally are. See also Snape, Severus ( ... )
