Sooooo, we're singing Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" along with the orchestra. Two words for you: cartalige destruction. ...a "first" soprano who can't reach an A? I can possibly understand a B... but if she can't reach an A then she should be a second soprano.

Well technically at our age, we shouldn't be able to hit those notes and hold them for very long. A woman's voice doesn't mature until she hits 45, 50 years old. But yeah, she should be among the seconds if she has problems with those notes.
