It's absolutely ridiculous that you have to pay to get internet at Starbucks locations. As if the coffee and everything there is not expensive enough. This of course means that I went ahead and bought the internet, even though I think it's ridiculous. I just had such a wonderful experience doing work at the Starbucks in Kitchener that I feel like

No/small windows means you its completely dark and you get the sleep of your life. Basements always seem to be the perfect temperature. In the winter it's somehow warmer than upstairs (doesn't heat rise???) and in the basement it's cool. I don't know if this is all basements, but it is all the ones I have experienced.
Also... privacy, space (well assuming it's a decent size and you have it to yourself).
The thing is you do hear the people above you. I think it's something you get used to. When I had ppl playing DDR upstairs (jumping around) I definitely heard it loud. But otherwise, it doesn't bother me at all.
Five year olds can be noisy, but then again so can students, haha. If the family seems nice I would go for it!
