The Fringe is amazing. It's genuinely my very favourite time of year and Edinburgh goes absolutely MENTAL. If you ever get a chance, grab it and go visit! And stop by Underbelly for a drink. ;)
Hahahaha, thank you for my comment!! Very gratefully recieved!
Very much so. The feeling has been enhanced from seeing folks recently too, what with Keith and Carl being over for the festival and Tiernan being over last week. I miss the people most, but I admit to kind of even missing the ridiculous sprint up all the stairs with flyers on my back. Looking forward to next year already :]
It's just like that (: It's really really amazing what can be done by just a group of people all working together, and then how it all just vanishes - poof!
Glad you liked it (: The Fringe is fascinating and so, so much fun. Edinburgh's population quadruples for a month - it's completely amazing and I love it. (:
I've never heard of the Fringe before. And comparing the photos -- if you hadn't said anything, I never would have guessed that alleyway is actually the other photo!
I did a lot of theatre tech at uni. Oh, all those shows! Takeaway! Sleepless nights! If our venue had been an upside down cow I probably never would have graduated!
The Fringe is the biggest arts festival in the world where absolutely anybody from anywhere can put on any show they like in Edinburgh for three weeks in August. It's insane, but so, so much fun. And yeah, it's the same alley! The last photo with the festoons is actually taken from just in front of the archway in the first photo - the cow logo you can see at the bottom hangs over the top of the gate.

I like the way you used photos here-- the piece isn't dependent on them but they definitely lend a certain atmospheric quality.
Also, now you have a comment!
