 There are many different forms of heartbreak.

Being completely spellbound by a girl for 4 months - then realizing you have no control - it's spiraling downwards, and all you can do is watch.

Is that a minor case of heartbreak, or is this Perry being a drama queen? 
With every passing year, I realize I'm in the same place as the previous year.

i would say its a minor case of heartbreak, minor cause that means you can recover.

In all honestly pj, It's all in your head and you have control over any situation when it comes to being with a girl. You can't expect a girl to just look at you and make everything happen. It's takes time, effort and patience for something good to happen This is not the fantasy world or anything, you have control of your own destiny. If you like this girl, find the man in you and tell her and make the effort to make it happen.

The only time you have no control over being with her is if she has no interest in you and she's made that clear. If she has interest in you, then you have already past the toughest part. All you have to do is make the effort and let your heart do the rest.

Take it from someone who has been with a girl because of effort and failed because lack there of even though i had her falling for me. Your my buddy, but this is me being brutally honest.

She would constantly say how much she wanted to hang out, but never came around.

After not showing up constantly, she still continued to insist on always hanging out.

Never happened.
Finally I just realized she was just like every other girl, and that there wasn't much special about her.

Our friendship is non-existent at this point.
Ask Krystal, how much I talked about this subject - or Matt.
So much excitement and anticipation - for absolutely nothing.

I'm not like, sitting here in complete anguish over it - or dwelling on it either, just kind of bummed.

It may appear like I'm making this out to be a terrible life crisis I'm in, or something similar - but it's not too bad, like I said - just disappointed that's all.
