If there's one thing I hate, it's to be yelled at on the phone for something that's not my fault - and not even my department.

For fucking half an hour.

Ugh.

I hate how bold people get on the phone but they'd never do that in person.

What's really upsetting is that those same people who yell and scream on the phone then expect you to help them fix their problem.

lol you're just all kinds of trouble aren't you Doll?

Do you often yell at poor $7 an hour customer service reps?

Ever make one cry?

Not often, but sometimes, yes, I admit it, I do.

I don't know that I've made one cry, but I can get very nasty when I feel like the other person isn't being as helpful as I think they could or should be. It's one of my flaws, sorry.

Along these lines, though, I also have to admit that I enjoy getting CS folks flustered over really ridiculous questions. Like the time I called Maxwell House and demanded to know exactly where their coffee beans were grown, claiming that I would not buy coffee from a company that supported local guerilla warfare. Or the time I called the Jello people as a joke to find out about how their gelatin is made and literally became so sick that I CANNOT eat Jello anymore.

Yeah, sometimes it comes back to haunt me.

Sorry you had to go through that shit. I've been on both ends of situations like that and it sucks.
