1. What are you listening to right now?
Cabin Fever by Rasputina
It's not quite as good as Frustration Plantation, but I'm really crushing on "Thimble Island."
2. What song makes you sad?
Recently, it's "17 Again" by Eurythmics. It makes me nostalgic for what was and long for change all at once.
3. What is the most annoying song in the world?
"My Humps" by Black-Eyed Peas (lovely lady lumps, my arse!)
4. Your all time favorite band?
Wow. This is one of the hardest questions you could ask me. I'm going to say Tori Amos is my favorite musical artist because she has been a part of my life for so long now. (But we mustn't forget Kate Bush or Loreena McKennitt or Marillion...*runs away*)
5. Your newly discovered band is?
Rasputina.
6. Best female voice?
Again with the tough questions...Annie Lennox. She can be incredibly soulful or chill you to the bone. She can sound like pure sex or a wise goddess. Plus, she's an alto.
7. Best male voice?
Now that's easy...Peter Murphy. Hi, can I have sex with your voice?
8. Music type you find yourself listening to most?
I listen to a lot of what I would define as "ecclectic," and those artists would most likely end up in the Goth, alternative, New Wave, New Age, Celtic categories
9. What do you listen to, to hype you up?
Believe it or not, nothing gets me going like Gwen Stefani's "What You Waiting For." I also like Madonna's "Hung Up," The Killers' "On Top," and Tori Amos' "Talula (Tornado Mix)."

Enya's most recent album, Peter Gabriel's Us, and Kate Bush's Aerial
11. Last gig/concert you went to?
I was supposed to see Tori Amos in Boston, but the last concert I actually saw was Catie Curtis with spicypintob. We saw her at Smith College, and it was a good time :).
12. Band you find yourself listening to the most right now?
The love for Rasputina is clearly strong, but the ladies with the cellos have some competition from Tori Amos and Annie Lennox these days.
13. Most hated band?
Metallica. For a heavy metal band, they're pretentious fuckers.

"That Time of the Night" Marillion
15. Band that you think the world should love as much as you do?
Oh, Marillion. If everything were fair and level, you would have heard Anoraknophobia and Brave as many times as I have.
16. Coolest music video?
Kate Bush's "Hounds of Love" makes me warm and fuzzy inside. It's whimsical and magical and suits the song perfectly.
17. Music video with the most babe watch?
Marilyn Manson's "Tainted Love" is one of the sexiest things I've ever seen on so-called music television. And ain't nothing but a Goth thang, baby.

19. Can you play a musical instrument?
I used to play the electric bass in a grunge band. This was back in my junior high days, and I was really into Rush, but oh yeah, I knew a lot of Nirvana songs, and I could play "Animate" fairly well. I also sang in a church choir for several years. Considering both of my parents are musicians, this lack of technical know-how is positively shameful.
20. Ever been in a mosh pit?
Yes, at a Type O Negative concert and at Ozzfest 2000 during Disturbed's set. At the Type O concert, someone picked me up and threw me to the edge of the crowd. At the Disturbed show, I watched someone fall out of a tree.

Alas, no, but I live vicariously through my parental units.

I think rock, maybe some progressive thrown in for good measure.

I like to listen to it while I play Heroes of Might and Magic IV. And it actually helps me focus on intellectual tasks.

I have a soft spot for Shania Twain. And I think the Jayhawks fall into this category, and they make my motor run. And when it comes to bluegrass, I love the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack.

Having a huge-ass Tori fan shove me out of the way so that he could meet her for the 100,000th time.
40. Funny Concert moment?
Jon met Peter Steele at a Type O Negative concert. Jon was, er, draining the lizard when Mr. Steele came to the urinal next to him. "Hey, kid, want me to sign something?" Jon didn't recognize him, so he said, "Well, I don't know who you are." After Peter made his identity clear, Jon said, "Nice to meet you," zipped up, and ran like hell.
41. Sad Concert moment?
Tori Amos performing "Merman." She knows many men, and some of them just wear different colored socks. And some of them aren't around anymore.
42. Best local act you can think of?
I am so out of touch with the local scene...Whirlwind, my parents' band ;).
43. If you were a musical instrument what would you be?
A violin. Touch the strings just right...and I have a long neck...

I like Launch on Yahoo! a lot.

Never ever.

Only if someone worthy is in there.

My dad plays the guitar, flute, bass, drums, and sings. My mom sings and plays piano, and she rocks the tambourine like no one's business.

I usually fall in love after I hear the music. Peter Murphy was such an acquisition.

I wouldn't want to marry based on voice/talent alone, but I could be inclined to domesticate with Steve Hogarth.

If I happen to like the same band, these people make me *squee* a bit. I saw someone in a Marillion "Uncool as F**k" shirt on the streets of Adams and nearly died of joy.

If I need a label, I'm gonna say old-school Goth.

Jon and I like to convert one another, and I like to be exposed to everything and then some.
