"...Many there know some girls with red ribbons, the prettiest red ribbons..."

The sunburn has won this round, so I'm not yet going to sleep.  I've decided to put up another lyrics game a.) because I've been listening to so much good music lately and b.)  you made quick work of the movie version.  I provide the lyric(s), and you give me the song and artist.  I'll put the answers up no earlier than Wednesday morning ( Read more... )

I only recognize two this time:

#15: Superstar, Jesus Christ Superstar

#19: Peephole, System of a Down

I could Google more, but that's not in the spirit of the game.

You definitely got two of the toughies, though, including the System of a Down song and the showtune. *Le gasp*

I actually know one! #8 is from Toad the Wet Sprocket, Is It For Me. I was just listening to that! I also know #10. Definitely Tori Amos, and with a little help I reminded myself that it's from Goodbye Pisces. I also was listening to that fairly recently.

Again, I am in awe. I didn't know you were a Toad the Wet Sprocket fan...:)

I was all, "Damn, I suck at this game!"

Then I got to #12 (Ben Folds Five, "Whatever and Ever Amen"!), and I started from that line and sang the entire song in my head. I'm such a cool kid. :)

Well, getting one is good enough for me. Nice work...

Admittedly, movies are your forte ;). For some reason, I would think you might know #6 (British singer/songwriter) or #18 (former Beatle).

Um... *is silly* I can sing #6 to the tune of "Get Back," and it sounds pretty good, but somehow I don't think that's what you had in mind. ;)

#11 is Marillion: Quartz. How appropriate :P

#9 fooled me... for a minute I thought it was House, which has similar lyrics.

Would it be anything else...? Still one of my favorite Marillion songs.

Dude, I am not going to even try to answer your lyric riddles because I never know lyrics. I realized last week that "In your room" by Depeche Mode is about S&M.

What I am going to say is this: I find Aloe to be the devil with a sun burn, because when it dries it gets sticky and then I am painful and sticky and my skin feels tight. I find the best remedy for a sunburn is this:

A cool bath with Aveeno oatmeal packet followed by "Banana boat after sun care." Because it is LOADED with aloe and vitamin E for my skin and my skin drinks it up and I'm not sticky or tight. Then I get a little drunk, because I get a little numb.

Ooh, and sunburns can be great preludes to sex. When I have an Evil sunburn (that's witha capitol E) Lou will get a cup of ice cubes and melt them on my body.

Don't you love DM more and more with every listen...? You and Jon are bigger addicts than I am :).

I know that I am a crispy critter because a bath in oatmeal sounds terribly good right now.
