1.) Librarians seem to have a counter-culture of their very own. I had no idea just how popular a woman in glasses in a sweater could be until I started life as a book jockey. Having access to all manner of subversive material certainly fed my self-discovery, too ;). Men get a little too excited when I threaten to push them against the card catalogue.
