So I needed something to watch while doing laundry, so started the series Grimm this week. I've seen two episodes. I've enjoyed them so far, though it's a little hokey and more than a little predictable. I find myself though, doing continuity checks through the show more than with others. It's worth pointing out that a lot of what we think of as "Celtic Art" is a fusion between "Ultimiate" La Tène and Germanic styles and motifs. This is the style that the Book of Kells, the Lindisfarne Gospels, etc. use. The interlace (especially animal interlace) that is called "Celtic knotwork" is more Norse/Germanic than Celtic...

Thanks - that is new to me! It looked like knotwork (not animal themed) but hard to get the detail from the glimpse on the tv. Never thought of that as Germanic!
