I feel like I am fighting a losing battle on the Halloween front. The costumes for girls just get skeezier every year. The supply of non-slutty looking costumes continues to dwindle as merchandizers find new and improved ways to tart up "classic" outfits like Disney princesses and fluffy animals for anyone over the age of 8. Sigh.

So we spent a week and a half on a road trip out to the Chicago / Milwaukee area and had a fabulous family time to cap off the end of summer, but while we were gone, we missed my Aunt Katie's 88th birthday. The last week of the school year is always crazy busy. I should expect it but somehow it seems to catch me unawares and by the end of the week, I am just totally beat!
