This morning, I am going to the dentist.

I am absurdly delighted to have thought of an excuse for this icon.

(The dentist I shall see, however, looks nothing like Christopher Lee and does not speak of caramels in Tones of Doom.)

Does he look like Steve Martin and wear biker gear instead?

No, not that either.

Ugh going to the dentist. :p

Though LOL @ icon. That would be the only reason I would be pleased, too. :p

Oh, the dental visit wasn't so bad. The dentist I go to is very nice.

*giggles* Tones of Doom. You know, I switched from saying 'carmel' to 'caramel' specifically because of Dooku the dentist in that movie? :P

*laughs* My mother once had occasion to ask at the grocery store about some caramel to put on ice cream. I guess the shelf needed to be restocked or it had been moved or something. Apparently the guy she was talking to was used to the "carmel" pronunciation, because he was quite puzzled at being asked for the terrible ice cream topping.

What's the point of going to the dentist if there are no Tones of Doom? :p

I say "caramel" instead of "carmel", and apparently that's not real normal in the Southwest. The baristas at Starbucks have asked me to repeat my order for delicious caramel frappucinos because of it.

Mmmm, caramel frappucinos . . .

See, when I hear "carmel," my mind goes directly to "Mount Carmel" and totally skips over dessert unless the context is extremely forceful.

My dentist sadly looks and sounds nothing like Christopher Lee either. This strikes me as a very serious defect. Perhaps I should start looking for a new one.

(I'm actually considering looking for a new one, since I keep moving farther and farther from her, but she's so gosh-darned nice I just feel awful even thinking about it.)

I'm still driving back to see the one I went to as a kid. It would probably be smart to look for a local one who's recommended by our insurance site, but on the other hand... this one's very nice and very good, and I usually drop by to see my parents too.
