I'm sure it won't last too long, dear Cerberus. Are you well? Do you want to come and stay with us?

The appropriate response to this situation is most likely to not comment upon it.

But it quite the novelty, don't you agree?

I have not yet seen you, my husband. I am curious.

Other than this-- whatever this is, how was your trip?

How are you, my darling?

I am glad you had a semblance of spring while you were there. It seems to be rather touch-and-go here, but I've seen the sun a bit more recently.

It is, as a fellow traveler said, the armpit of Europe. A curious, but apt turn of phrase.

As well as can be, Mother, with all that has been going on. I miscalculated, but all will be better soon once time has been acquired to make repairs to the situation.

How was Paris? Being as busy as I was did nothing to keep me from missing you in return. The lack of your calm was unsettling.

I feel rather as though it is nigh-on impossible to calculate anything in our current forms (mortal, I mean, as opposed to current appearances).

Paris was rather beautiful and I saw a great deal of the French countryside. I recommend it, thoroughly. I am happy to be back with my family, though.
