2) to answer your question: I am smiling, personally, because I am truly happy. You havn't achieved this only because you ask for happieness too much, you anaylse too much. You must let it come and don't seek it so desperatly. We are hardwired to emphasize the negatives in life and there has been plently of them to focus on. "We are at our happiest when we are absorbed in what we are doing." Simply, do what you love, and love what you do with no questions asked.
The trouble is that asking yourself about your frame of mind is a sure way to loose your flow. If you want to be happy, don't ever ask yourself if you are.
