I'm an idiot and I dropped my cell in the toilet. I'm hoping I can go to the TMobile store tomorrow before work or thursday when I have off and get a new one. I'm not sure if my sim card is still okay, but I THINK I have almost everyone's number written down. Blah.

youre not the only person i know who water damaged their phone. now the funny part is i bet if you wait awhile your phone will work again (maybe not 100% but it will work)

The phone turns on and the screen is fucked up, but it's not reading the SIM card anymore.

I'm from PSC, and this made me laugh... but at the same time, have you tried putting your phone in the oven on 100 degrees F?, wrap it in a towl, take out the battery, and the sim card, etc... put them in seperately, and just put it in for ten or 15 minutes.

It'll help it dry without actually melting anything.

Glad I could make people laugh with the story. Now that I'm more removed from the event, I find it funny, too. The phone dried out and turned back on, but it stopped reading my sim card. So I bought a temporary phone til I can get a new one. Thanks for the advice, though! I'll remember that in case I ever let my phone go swimming again. (:
