Fantastic story. I liked that John breaks his tech so he can call Matt and have him come over on the bad nights.

I've missed your writing so much.

This is PERFECT. If I tried to quote it, I would just quote the whole thing. All of Matt's little mental asides that are so uniquely perfectly Matt (my favourite was the stomach-stone antimatter), and all of the speaking without words that John and Matt do (despite Matt's tendency to not-stop-talking) and that crinkle.

I loved this. And we need to make you write more.

ETA: Just came back to re-read this. Even better the second time around. Also -- THAT CATS PLAYING PATTY-CAKE VIDEO IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS EVAH.

I'm thrilled you liked this one this much - and honestly a little surprised. In addition to it not being one of my fluffiest, I just wasn't sure I liked it at all when I was posting. But then, I feel like I'm never sure these days. This one felt...like not enough *resolution* some how. I dunno. But the talking without talking is what I was going for so YES. THANK YOU. I super appreciated the vote of confidence when I got this.

And that Patty Cake thing is one of the few cat videos I truly enjoy lol.
