I've been thinking about all the times I tried to change the world, on New Cap. I really thought I could make a difference somehow, do more than I did. I was tired of being "Mister Gaeta", the dependable, overefficient boot that wears out and you only notice how worn it became when it suddenly fails you.

I'm not excited about the prospect either. I can't see myself with a poopy diaper, or picking up toys in the CIC.

But I can tell you, from my own experience, that once I held my son in my arms, I had a new and more meaningful purpose in my life. I don't think we would have gotten through the past few months if we didn't have Nick depending on us.
The Admiral once told us that he expected us to have at least a dozen. We'd really appreciate it if you could eventually take the pressure off and have one of your own. But not till you're ready.

And, uh, well... you remember that party the union threw right after it formed? About four or five months after Batshit's Baltar's groundbreaking? You kinda had your shirt off for a few minutes. Everyone was looking around wondering where all the women went.
