No. Downloading Music is wrong. Sure the musician might not suffer but what about that artist that designed the cover, what about the technicians, what about the drummer, etc, etc.
The artist that designed the cover, the technicians, and the other behind the scenes people are paid on a set wage, and they get paid the same no matter how many copies are sold. And the drummer is a musician.
It actually depends on the label...besides, that set pay isn't going to be going up with declines or slow downs in sales. Yeah, that drummer is a musician but unless he's part of a main band he's probably not living a life of luxury.
I live in Nashville, so this is a very hot topic in the area and locals have been feeling the pressure of downloads.
To produce a song takes a lot of hard work from all parties involved and they deserve to be paid for it.
