Just wanted to let you all know that we had our baby girl this morning. She was born at 3:20 am- first contraction was roughly 1 am. Ben caught her! We're doing well, and she's nursing like a champ. Isaac fell in love with her- he met her around 4 am when I lay down to bed. He came to nurse and found a baby in his place! But he was so excited. "It'

I've been thinking of you guys a lot - I'm glad it went so well! All these people having their second vaginal birth in under 3 hours from first contraction - LOVE IT!

And since Isaac found you in bed with the baby, I assume your homebirth plans went through just fine... that's awesome!!!!!

yep it was a homebirth. I've never had a long labor, but i think i prefer isaac's 4 hour to her 2.5 hour (though it could be those hormones talking). it was just so fast that i didn't have time to relax into it, kwim? ben had only been home for about an hour when she was crowning (or rather, her bag of watre was crowning). but she's here, and oh her hair is soft and smell is sweet!

i think the time was 3:10 or so. i remember looking at the clock and mentioning the time to sarah. :) it was so exciting to be there! i really hope it wasn't stressful for us to be there. i will always remember it! i can't wait to see her again at christmas time. i'm glad to hear that issac likes her. :)

Wow! Congrats on a home birth! I'm a bit jealous, but then again I am just glad I didn't have to have another C-section.
