Xander is closer to being totally accepting. Spike is closer to being totally in love with puppy. Lines are being crossed. Has Spike made a mistake here showing off Xander? Will word get back to Buffy? Rumors have a way of getting back to the wrong person.

I don't know what Spike will do. Well, no, that's a lie, I do know, but I can't tell you or I ruin the story *laughs*. Remember his mantra from the beginning "I don't want to die" He's taking this to a different level, but still the same.

You've been posting so quickly recently that I've not had a chance to say how much I'm still enjoying this story. Xander is drowing now and he's doing it of his own free will. I do wonder what Spike has got up his sleeve, because I get the feeling he's not finished with his puppy yet! *g*

I was wondering if you were going to comment again, thanks so much for doing so! I'm glad you're enjoying the story, and I hope the ending isn't too... far fetched. He really seems to enjoy his puppy, doesn't he?

I forgot to mention, check back every week, I should have a new chapter up every Monday, and try to squeeze other things into the rest of the week. I really hope you like where this goes, and please feel free to leave concrit. This fic may be finished but I can still tweak it without ruining the story in many ways.

I've felt very guilty for not commenting on the last few chapters. I've been reading them in the morning when I get ready for work, with the best of intentions of commenting when I get home. Then of course, life gets in the way and all of a sudden a week has gone by.

I'm sure I'll enjoy which ever way you decide to take it. Thank you for letting me know your posting schedule, it definitely helps to have a plan.

I totally understand, I was just worried I'd shifted the story into a new venue and was losing readers because of it,thanks for banking those fires of paranoia *laughs* I hope you keep liking it, it ends in a different way than I'd planned. Almost none of my chapters stuck to the "List" I had worked hard on and completed.

I love that prompt table though... I wonder if I could use it for a different pairing...
