It had been a long night and it would be an even longer day if Renji was to combat the pounding headache and the fierce uprisng if nausea that was unrelentingly plaguing him this very morning. He and the guys and some of the ladies went out for sake and karaoke last night, got rowdy and went home shitfaced and giggling. And that was just the guys! But today the story of their night of fun was abundantly becoming clearer and their night wasn't so funny today! Now, he had to survive a day with his Captain, a desk of paperwork and a killer hangover!
"God! I don't know if I'll make it today! This sickness is getting to me in a big way! "
He thought if he could have a mint or two that would most likely temper the swaying nausea he was feeling. Just then, he remembered the value-size pack of mint gum Rukia had gotten him from the living world to put in his desk just to have in these situations. Digging through his desk drawer he pulled out a piece, popped it in his mouth and started chewing away. It seemed to help with the nausea somewhat and now just to get rid of the pounding headache! Captain Kuchiki hadn't come in yet, surprising the always late Shinigami who not only got there first but was hungover too boot and still made it in before his ever punctual captain!
As Renji continued to go through the papers, it turned into an act of glorified shuffling. He thought about what his superior was doing to make him so uncharacteristically late. He chewed his gum in silence when the captain came glidding in through the door.
" Good morning captain!"
"A good moring indeed liutenant!"
" Off to a good start I see Abarai-kun! This is the kind of intiative that is what I admire about you Renji!"
'Holy shit! Did the Captain just complement me! And in such a lax manner at that?'
He thought as he turned to watch the captain take his place at his elegant wooden desk. He watched intensely still chewing at an even faster pace than before as, he watched the man resume work for the day. After a few more seconds he turned back to his own business in front of him. Captain Kuchiki had felt the eyes of the redhead but didn't acknowledge them until he escaped the eye's attention. Looking to the desk he saw something unusual. Renji was chewing something and he never allowed food in the office like this. He noticed that the chewing was continuous and never stopped. He was intrigued by watching the profile of his liutenant's jawline and mouth move so gracefully and with ease. He could feel the flush of his skin as he felt lush with thoughts about that mouth.
' How amazing that a mouth that could bring such unease could all at once be so beautifully inviting. I could watch him do that forever but, what in the world is Renji chewing? '
He studied Renji to the point Renji actually noticed from his peripheral but despite his noticing the captain watching him he didn't address him. Then the captain addressed him.
"Renji, What ever are you chewing?"
"Oh, it's gum that Rukia brought me from the living world."
"Get rid of it! I don't like food in the office and you know that!"
"I'm sorry captain I'm afraid I can't do that!"
"And why is that?"
"Well, you see! I have a bit of nausea and it settles my stomach."
"Renji come to me please."
Renji got up from his desk and headed to the front of Captain Kuchiki's.
"I understand that you're not feeling well but I really don't tolerate food in here at anytime. If you need treament, I suggest you seek treatment with Captain Unohana. So, dispence of the gum immediately."
"I'm sorry sir. I just can't do that! At least not now!"
Renji wanted to explain to his captain that the effect of the mint had an immediate effect on maintaining his nausea but the captain wouldn't give him any time.
The captain was quite perturbed by this mild insubordination but, he could see Renji really wasn't looking so well. So, he chose an approach that would best satisfy both of them. He rose from his seat and approached his liutenant at the front of the desk. He gently brought both of his hands to Renji's face gently cradling that prominent jawline that he so admired earlier. He softly moved to carressed Renji at the nape of his neck lacing his fingers through fiery silk. Renji's eyes closed as he accepted the touch from his captain. Captain Kuchiki moved forward to Renji's ear carressing soft lips against his loeb. Commanding a soft anticipated sigh from the man.
"This should help you a bit with your sickness. I know you like to have your hair fondled and I like the way it feels so, this works for both of us ok?" He whispered.
Renji simply pressed his cheek into his captain's palm and sighed in relief of the continued touch. A clear sign of his acceptance.
He presssed firmly his thumb and index finger into the crook of Renji's neck. Bringing on a pleasureable release of pain from the redboned Shinigami. Renji sighed openly at this and flushed a wave of mint over his captain's face. The captain was quite shocked at the plesant warm wave that greeted him as he kept to messaging the man's neck. He moved in closer to Renji's lips as he continued to pant mint filled whips from his slightly opened lips. The captain studied the lips as he continued messaging Renji's neck which he noted was full of tension. After watching those lips before move so silently yet, so gracefully he did what they had been inviting him to do from the begining. He entered the into Renji's mouth with ease, all accceptance as he knew Renji found interest in him. Renji's eyes flashed open only to return closed in reception of his captain's kiss. Their tongues greeting one another tenderly and with no hint of regret on either's part. The smell of mint loomed between them with warm expectations of more gentle affection. When the two released each other Renji opened his eyes. They were soft and starry with a sweet dignity that the captain also admired about his liutenant.
"Now, I want you to go to Captain Unohana and let her see to your ailment. You can have the dady off . No, disidence. Ok?"
"Yes, I will captain."
They gazed at each other intensely for several moments while Captain Kuchiki continued only briefly messaging the fiery silk before releasing Renji's neck. The moment between the two of them was like a tiny sweet dream one might have during an afternoon nap. Renji blinked in a sated satifaction. There was a ghost of a snile shing in his auburn eyes. Renji had no more words, he simply left to carry out his captain's request.
The room now empty, Captain Kuchiki returned to his seat. He sat for moments going through papers before it became glorified shuffling. After moments, he began chewing in silence.
A/N: I hope you all like this because it came to me on the first day back at school! It's rainy and I love when the weather is overcast. Rainy weather always makes for great kissing and making out sessions. So, Whoot there it is! Oh yeah, it beckons for moar doesn't it! Hmmm... I might have stumbled onto something here!
