I think that since Harry killed someone he can't become an Auror, even though it was a Death Eater who he killed. They'll (they meaning the ministry) say that Harry could have used a different way to disarm the man.

That or Harry has to choose A) Between Draco and the Wesley's or B) Draco and the job he wants
