Overdue update part 4: Movies!

Jun 19, 2007 19:15

Been a while since I've done this, but I was exposed to many movies on the last few trips and I owe my LJ/friends a few synopsis. Cloud~

Big Fish is one of my favorites in the bunch. As long as you have tolerance for surrealistic or fantasy-like elements, and sad movies, I can't imagine not enjoying this. ( Read more... )

Spectacular spectacular, no words in the vernacular~! ren_narf June 20 2007, 00:12:44 UTC
Arr, glad I got to show you a bunch of those, and that you ended up liking a lot of my favourites. Still got a few more neat ones for next time, and you definitely should see The Prestige at some point. Totally different story-wise from The Illusionist, and some really weird plot twists. Christy has it, so maybe we can add that to the pile next time you're visiting. And then you must play Dirge of Cerberus, 'cause it totally turns into Vincentvincentvincent! :D

Cloud.

The Prestige was good.

But, The New World? Are you kidding me? It was a four hour monologue. If it was between that and Ms. Congeniality 2, I'd have rather seen Sandra Bullock attempt pretty.

I said it was pretty and told more of the story... what exactly am I kidding there? X)

Yeah I've been told. I'll have to mark it on my mile long "supposed to see someday" list of movies.

Well, pretty... I guess. I'm trying to remember the pretty parts about it. :P The female lead was very pretty. Everything about her was stunning. As far as Native American movies and pretty... what did you think of Dances With Wolves and Apocalypto?

And if you haven't, watch Shortbus. Maybe you have. This is the first time I've been on LJ since January.
