I'm glad the semester is going well and that you have new neighbors to get to know. Now, I just need to get myself on a workout schedule. I need to work out the rest of my schedule first, but I do walk about a mile and a half everyday by walking to and from school. It's exciting to hear what wonderful things are happening in your life. Teacher as researcher and reflective practitioner, reading in the content areas, and (the really cool one) practical issues in mathematics. Themath one is a methods course taught by one of the 3 finalists in the presidential award for excelence in math. She has also done a lot of wonderfully creative work on quilt-block math, and other crafts into the classroom creative math lessons, and she is sharing freely, in addition to teaching us about how to come up with our own. she will give us tips on classroom management as well.

Good luck on the workout schedule.
