Yeah, my friend had Vista installed on his computer. Its way too bloated. It just eats way too much of your system resources. Maybe I'm just too used to firefox, but I installed IE 7 and its not that great. But the lack of almost any toolbar is a plus. Almost too far though, theres no file menu unless you add the menu "toolbar". Didn't IE invent the idea of a toolbar? But it does look cool. The effects promised are interesting, but when it takes most of your system to run just your OS... And if you stand back a bit it kinda resembles OS X. :)
Yeah. Vista has some pretty nice effects, but otherwise, I completely agree. The only substantive difference I've noticed is the graphics. Applications tended to load just a tad faster, though it may have just been my perception.
Still, it looks quite nice. And when my sister walked in, she thought for a moment that I was using a Mac.
Yeah, when I first installed this hard drive, it was a replacement (if you remember, my first hard drive died). My original was 120 GB, and the new one was 160 GB. Since I also wanted to install Linux on my new hard drive, I partitioned it, but forgot that I got a bigger hard drive. I ended up with an extra partition, on which I install Vista.
