Byakuya slid open the door to Urahara's shop quietly, surprised as he stepped inside to smell food that did not make him want to regurgitate his breakfast.
The door closed behind him with a dull click as he walked towards the kitchen, sounds of water boiling and a certain someone humming gradually growing louder. Pausing in the doorway, he watched silently as Urahara moved around expertly.
Urahara looked over his shoulder at Byakuya, his blond-white hair falling partway in his eyes - hat discarded for the moment as he cooked. He raised his spatula. "I'm making pancakes. ^_^" Turning back to what he was doing, he added "and eggs too, ne? Come see."
Byakuya did as told, stepping forward to look into the pan. "... You drew faces on them," he said, in a tone that held no surprise to it. He raised his head and blinked at Urahara.
"Ah? I thought we could pretend to be cannibals," he said playfully. Leaning over, he nuzzled Byakuya's neck, kissing him softly on the cheek. "I also made these," he said, pointing to the omlettes on the counter. In the very center, he'd drawn - with only a faint bit of ketchup - two basic faces: ^_^ and :|.

Possibly, the apron was a nice touch. Maybe.
