Digital Perms

Has anyone had a digital perm before? I am thinking of getting it done, but I heard the curls ends up being lose and straight after a few weeks. I just want a bit of volume as my hair is pretty flat. Although I think it will cost ~$150-$200? Hmm ( Read more... )

I had never heard of it before either. But my sister recommended it to me. I remember seeing it in one of the Korean dramas now looking back at it. I didn't know what it was then, but I do now.

I guess we always want the opposite of what we have. My hair is very straight. Getting your hair done can be quite expensive huh? I always struggle trying to justify spending that amount of money on hair that will eventually grown out ^^;;;

Good luck with the tickets! I hope you don't have to camp out for them!

I did a digital perm back in February, but the curls were gone in like less than 2 weeks time (TT )
Then again, I guess it was because I have really REALLY NATURALLY STRAIGHT hair.
And when you do a perm, you are not supposed to comb your hair, but I just have to comb my hair after every time I shower :(
But it was really nice while it lasted :)
I think I'm gonna try a permanent perm next time :p

Wow, really? Miha mentioned her curls are still there 6 months after getting it done. I guess it depends on your hair.

My hair is really straight too.

Gah~ you can't comb your hair? So how do you get rid of the tangles? Seems like a lot of work.

Thank you for the feedback! <3

Yeah, it really depends on the nature of your hair. My hair is so straight that people assume I "bond" my hair all the time -__-

Well, according to the stylists here, you are only supposed to comb once after you wash your hair. And then after you comb it, you just twirl them into knots (as many as possible), and leave them to dry naturally (do not use a hair dryer as it will make you lose your curls).

Another problem with my hair is that it is really fine, so it tangles really easily :(
So I tend to lose a lot of hair every time I comb my hair...that's why I chose to just cut my hair a few months ago :(
But as I said, it was really nice while it lasted though! I really wish my hair is not so straight and fine :(
