Thanks for your review! It's good to get a critical opinion. I quickly browsed through some of the doujinshi at Yaoi-Con, and though the artwork was wonderful, it looked like the story probably wouldn't be the one for me... But then I've seen it getting a lot of love on my friends list, and I've been a bit conflicted. *sigh*
I'm more intrigued to read it now than originally, but I'm still prepared not to enjoy it. ^^; I really prefer likeable characters and happy endings too...
Hm…interesting. I bought it and it arrived already (my parents informed me) but I’m away at the moment and it will have to wait until August until I get back to be read. I’ll be probably fine with story and characters, I can take (almost) everything in fictional world, well, actually in literature and comics/manga, 7th art excluded (too much like RL). I’m curious after reading your review how “heavy” it really is, we all have different level/threshold of tolerance and different/various preferences.
The older I get, the more I incline to happy endings. Still I like angst and intensity… I’m more afraid of long pause between volumes than what’s in it. I know art is superb, now I’m interested to find out about characters and story.
Didn’t know you write reviews on public entries, much appreciated, thank you!
i'm glad you got something you'd been wanting!! though, too bad you couldn't enjoy it thoroughly. it does sound interesting, though a pinch too... intense, perhaps. well, i've become less inclined toward watching/reading violence like that since i've gotten older, ha.
as an aside, i tend to veer away from BL stories with cops. i dunno why, specifically, because i have read some and they've turned out to be good, by and large, but it's like a subgenre that in general i veer away from... hm.
I already have one :)... I bought directly from Guiltypleasure... The artwork very wonderful... and I love the story. Can't wait to have the second vol~
Oh thank you for the review. It really help me wither I should or not buy the manga. One question is the drawing that good as the cover. If so, then I might just have to buy it my collection to look. Not for reading.
