Gah!!!! That's it! I'm going to give up reading Shoujo.... for a while at least. renleek recommended Bokura ga Ita and I thought I would give it ago. There are 16 volumes in total and it took me a little under 5 hours to read the series. Well... ok, I skimmed through some chapters and volumes and took a break in between due to eye strain. I mainly skimmed

Update: Zetsuen no Tempest is interesting too + shakesphere reference i.e. the Tempest.

I cried so much while reading this manga, too angst for me. ;_;
But i finish this serie because I want to know the ending as well.

yeah bokura ga ita was boring for me. I give up in a few chapters.... If you want a good shoujo manga go and read Lovely Complex. Love the movie as well. So funny and its in kansai ben. The jokes are awesome and the characters + romance are not too sappy or too dramatic. Just the right amount.

I also like Akuma no Dolce. Its really cute though the ending is a bit abrupt

Yamato Nadeshiko is also nice.. though it gets a bit long sometimes.

And for me, the best shoujo manga artist are:
- Kyoko Hikawa
- Yukari Kawachi (most of her stuffs are sad though but pretty good read)
- Chiho Saito
- Asagiri Yu (before she turns into yaoi)
