There's a hummingbird nest at the Franklin Park Zoo. I rented what's technically known as a big-ass telephoto lens for a week so I could try it out on the hummingbirds and on loons etc in the Adirondacks.

Remind the TSA to follow the law
The TSA was supposed to conduct a notice and comment process on its use of "Advanced Imaging Technology" for screening at airports. There are health, cost, and privacy concerns that need to be addressed. To date, the TSA has put off doing so. Weird stuff I've eaten recently
I realized that I've had a number of odd things to eat in the past two weeks.
