This past year I had my love of Pete and Pete rekindled (I bought the first two seasons on DVD) and now I'm planning on paying homage to your favorite neighborhood super hero by being Artie for Halloween. I'm looking for Artie gear and finding out that unless you're a superhero from the early nineties, people don't really sport the red and blue ( Read more... )

A year or two ago someone at my school was Artie and I believe he found the outfit as a pair of children's pajamas (he was a thin guy). Maybe you could do some searches for children's clothes.

i personally would paint my own using fabric paints and meticulous taping-off of the appropriate areas. luckily thanks to emo the glasses have become quite easy to find!

Oh yea, my glasses are quite similar so thats no problem. I could totally rock the Pjs. On the DVD commentary they actually say that his costume came from children's pajamas. I think I will research that outlet. Thanks!

In fact, I did. At Steve and Barry's I found a children's long sleeve polo in red and blue stripes. I suppose Artie didn't have a collar but it is about as close as I have been able to find and anyways, I think Artie would enjoy poppin' his collar if he had one. PIPE!
