The house where Pete & Pete lived

Woah, this community is pretty dead! I meant to post these a long time ago so I guess now is as good a time as any.

I ventured to the exotic wilds of New Jersey last year to stay with my friend for the weekend. She lives in the Oranges area -- quite near South Orange, where much of Pete and Pete was filmed!

guh. seeing pictures of that house make me wish that i could live in it. it's so pretty and it has an awesome porch!

It is really beautiful! Whoever who owns it now keeps it really nice. It looks almost exactly the same.

Is a nice-looking neighborhood? It always looked like the idyllic place to raise a family. The house is lovely.

Yes, it's gorgeous! The whole area is really pretty actually! I was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately it only looks like Wellsville, though. My friend assures me that the people aren't that great in reality.

I am a town-neighbor of S. Orange too and it never occurred to me to go on a P&P hunt... the only place I ever recognized was the Willowbrook mall (Stern's! Old school!) when Ellen works at the photobooth in the parking lot when they're looking for Mr. Tastee. Maybe I'll explore during the summer!

And we have those same gas lights in my town. Only we don't have any other lighting and while it's pretty and old-fashioned it's dark as hell and I know a few people who have come close to breaking their bones because of those lights and our uneven sidewalks which the town's historical society refuses to change. So. Pretty, but at a price. Hooray NJ.
