I am glad you don't use commas with "because" anymore...but there is one case in which you use it.
Don't use it: I like cats because they're awesome. Do use it: I like cats, because that's how I roll. (Notice how "because" is used to mean "as" more in this instance. Also, notice how flipping the sentence doesn't work as well: Because they're awesome, I like cats. (<--Works.) Because that's how I roll, I like cats. (<--Doesn't really work.))
I like your post. It made me smile. If you feel like writing prose, you should write a book with me sometime!! *grin* I think we would both have interesting ways of approaching it, and it'd be a nice challenge.
