Enjoy your upcoming visit to the symphony. But whatever you do, don't clap between movements, or the specter of conductor Sir Thomas Beecham will rise from his hallowed grave and drag you straight down to hell. Seriously, don't do it.

Actually, Beecham's rehearsal style is reminiscent of the way you run Verbatim: He used to explain his method of working by saying that he first had the men (this is what he called his orchestra) play the piece once, and they made a few mistakes, and then he had the men play the piece again, and they made fewer mistakes, and then he had them play it again, and they didn't make any mistakes. The only difference is that I still make mistakes and am only nominally a man.
