Hi, I found your approach really fascinating and I would modify my DS-1H, still I'm not so good in practical terms.

Can I ask you how did you remove the white pastic cover from the potentiometer?

Thank you a lot! You helped me get interested into this kind of stuff

Hi! Could you please specify what exactly do you mean? The only white plastic parts in my DS-1H were the lever (mechanically connecting the main metal moving pedal part with the potentiometer) and the wiper inside the potentiometer. The cover from the potentiometer in my DS-1H was green.

My problem was removing the white lever, Tried to force it in any way but unsuccessfully.

Oops! Sorry, didn't see your reply.
Did you remove the spring? If yes, then just apply more force - there's nothing else holding it.

Hello Peter! I want to thank you for this excellent, detailed information. I went searching for solutions online after purchasing a Yamaha FC3A pedal to explore half pedaling with Pianoteq and my Korg SV-1. After realizing I bought the wrong pedal I found a link to your blog on the Korg forum, and Voila!! The exact information I needed. I had a spare B500k on hand, and I have just completed my pedal mod following your step by step.
Now…. To go test her out, and hopefully get lost in realistic half pedalled digital grand piano bliss!!

Thank you good Sir!
