I'm still alive, despite the best efforts of an infection in my leg I seem to have picked up from some flying blighter biting me whilst doing some gardening the other day. The bad news is that the thing is still swollen and sore, despite the antibiotics the quack issued. It is not getting any worse though, so that's something.

Sorry to hear about both you and Jim. We once had a Brit working at the museum (former workplace) and an American Mosquito caused a TERRIBLE infection-so be cautious!
